Quiz Search Help

This help has appeared in a new browser window - you can return to the quiz search page by switching browser windows.

Here you can filter the list of quizzes on this page based on options that you select. We have many quizzes on our site and have provided this facility to enable you to easily find a quiz that exactly matches your requirements.

Each of the options that you can specify is explained below.

Please bear in mind that as you select more options the number of matching quizzes will get shorter - you may find that there are no quizzes matching the exact specification you have chosen. In this case try broadening your choices!

Region

The vast majority of our quizzes are suitable for all regions in the world - the questions are based on topics that we feel are universal.

However, we occasionally have questions that are particularly suited to a specific country or region. The reverse is also true, there are sometimes questions that are unsuitable for a country (perhaps because it is directly related to that country and therefore too simple!)

So in this drop-down list you will see that there is an 'All Regions' option which means that the quiz contains questions that we do not feel are only suitable to a single region, or should be excluded from a specific region.

You will also find regions/countries in this drop-down list. If you select one of these you will see quizzes that are not specific to any country/region, and also ones specific to the region you have selected. In addition, the quizzes displayed will not have any questions that we feel should be excluded for that country or region.

PLEASE NOTE: This does not mean that questions about the UK won't appear in a US quiz, or US questions won't appear in a UK quiz, or that a quiz suitable for all regions won't contain regional questions. This is just our judgement as to whether or not a question is appropriate for all quizzes or only a specific country or region.

Event

During the year we will create quizzes that are specific to a holiday or some other seasonal event (for example we may produce quizzes for Easter, Christmas etc..)

The options that appear in this drop-down menu list all the different seasonal events that we have developed quizzes for. By selecting the event you are looking for the list of quizzes will be filtered so that only quizzes for the selected event are shown.

Age

We may produce quizzes that we feel are best suited for a particular age range (for example, we might create quizzes for children. In this case you will be able to select these quizzes by using this drop-down menu.

Difficulty

While the majority of our quizzes contain a good mixture of questions that may be easy or more difficult we will provide some quizzes that we feel are either particularly easy or particularly difficult. This drop-down menu will enable you to select quizzes that match a specific difficulty level.

However, please remember that this is only our judgement - a question is only easy if you know the answer to it! Since our quizzes cover a wide range of subjects it is extrememly difficult to say whether a question is hard or easy ... one person's hard question is another's easy one!!

Category

Each of our quizzes is divided into sections, and each section may contain questions related to a specific topic. This drop-down menu displays all the topics contained in our quizzes.

You can restrict the list of quizzes shown to only those that contain a section on a specific topic by choosing it in this menu. Once you have chosen your required topic you should click the 'Refresh List' button. The list will be refreshed and the chosen topic will be displayed below this drop-down menu.

You can restrict the list further by repeating the steps above - however, please bear in mind that if you select two topics you are requesting only quizzes that contain BOTH - the more topics you select the shorter the list of available quizzes. If you select multiple topics it is likely that there will be no quizzes matching your specification, in which case the list will be empty! If you encounter this problem you should reset the selected topics (select 'RESET' in the drop-down list and click 'Refresh List') and reduce the number of topics you require.

To remove a single category from the selection you should reselect it.
